Webbing Slings
Webbing slings are 100% polyester fibre and conform to BS EN1492-1:2000 in addition to “Machinery Directive 2006/42/EEC,” with a safety factor of 7:1.
Slings are colour coded to identify the relevant working load limit. Customers can also use our ‘How much may I lift’ chart to identify the working load limit.
Webbing slings are individually labelled stating the sling number, material, length and date of manufacture. In addition to any relevant safety information. The load-bearing seams are sewn with a contrasting colour of thread to the sling, so to aid inspection procedures.
Slings can be made to any specified length with flat eyes, folded eyes or steel terminals to suit all applications.

Pre-use Checks
Inspect products regularly during use. Checks should include both webbing and also the fittings. If you are in any doubt about if the sling is fit for use, remove the product from service immediately, for examination by a competent person.
Chemical Environments
Take extreme care when using lifting products in a chemical environment. We can offer alternative materials in cases where polyester is not safely acceptable. Trans-Web would be happy to advise on the safe use of slings within all working environments.
